Q&A

What mechanism is used to display prices for each country?
Nukeni's database stores prices collected from Apple websites in various countries in local currency, and whenever a page is accessed, the local currency price is converted directly into the currency of choice.
How do you check prices?
I have written a program to automatically collect prices from Apple websites in various countries. The URLs from which the prices are retrieved are listed, and I visually verify that the prices retrieved by the program match the prices displayed on the Apple website.
The US price seems to be wrong.
Please understand first that the prices in the U.S. are for the unlocked version, and that the ranking includes two prices, one for the lowest tax rate region and one for the highest tax rate region. Two types of iPhones are sold in the U.S.: iPhones that can only be used with certain carriers and iPhones that can be used with any carrier, and the prices of unlocked and locked versions may differ.
Nukeni's price comparisons are meaningless.
Nukeni's price comparisons are appreciated by people thinking about buying Apple products from abroad. Consumers with a global perspective want to know how much it would cost if they are overseas, and comparisons of prices excluding all taxes or taking into account the average annual income of each country are not practical.
I am a journalist. Can I have the data before currency conversion?
Please contact me using this form. I will give you the ID and password needed to download the price data. However, I will only provide you with the ID and password if I can verify that you are a journalist writing for a media outlet that is recognized by society in a certain way.
What does Nukeni mean?
Nukeni refers to the overseas smuggling trade during the Edo period (1603-1868) in Japan. I chose this word as the name of my website because I associated it with this term when I decided to start this website. That does not mean that I encourage illegal trade.
